Between us we can turn around the sort of voter apathy that sees fewer and fewer people voting in elections whilst western foreign policy spreads democracy to corners of the world with no democratic tradition. Surely we need to use the democratic processes that are open to us. The higher voter turnout the less the likelyhood that extreme parties like the BNP will come to power.
