An artificial satellite is a man-made form of technology that is put in orbit around a planet. They have countless applications, including defence, weather forecasting, surveillance and communication. The first artificial satellite, Sputnik, was launched from Earth in 1957.

A locomotive or train is a large self-propelled workhorse vehicle that was typically powered by steam, electricity or diesel, that was utilised for transporting freight or passenger cars along a railway line.
